TestPoint C++ time conversion

I preferably work in TestPoint (a LabView-like program, only I cannot manage LabView). TestPoint incorporates the possibility of calling external routines in C++. TestPoint is not good at handling time formats, so I need a routine converting between local time (HH:MM:SS) and unix time (seconds from January 1st, 1970).
Can somebody help me on this??
